Με δυο νεους ενισχυτες pure audio, κατεβαινει η Audio Design Associates στη CEDIA 2008, την επομενη εβδομαδα.

TPA-1, νεος λαμπατος προενισχυτης στερεο, με η χωρις iPod Dock.
PF-2150 , νεος 2-καναλος τελικος.
Το χρωμα τους θα ειναι Nickel Anodized ( Silver ), τοσο για τη προσοψη οσο και για το σασι.

Δεν ειναι η πρωτη φορα που η ADA ασχολειται με λαμπες.
Το παλαιοτερο μοντελο μαλιστα ειχε και Ελληνικο ονομα : Olympus.

Απ' οτι μαθαινω θα εχουν και ελκειστικες τιμες.
Μαλιστα το πακετο προ/τελικος θα ειναι πιο φτηνο απο τα 2 ξεχωριστα.
Λεγεται οτι θα ειναι κατω απο 6.000 ευρω. Να δουμε πως θα παει και το δολλαριο που εχει παρει τα πανω του.

Audio Design Associates Debuts iPod Compatible TPA-1 Thermionic Tube Pre-Amplifier and Matching PF-2150 Two-Channel High-Current Power FET Amplifier

Denver, CO – September 2, 2008 – Audio Design Associates (ADA), the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed electronics and a founding member of the CEDIA organization, is tapping the 2008 CEDIA Expo to unveil its iPod compatible TPA-1 Thermionic (Tube) pre-amplifier and matching PF-2150 FET Amplifier.

"The plea from two-channel hi-fidelity lovers didn't fall on deaf ears at ADA," says Richard Stoerger, ADA's Vice President and C.O.O. "With the iPod replacing nearly every form of medium that contains music, it was only a matter of time before someone would have to find a way to marry an iPod to a system a 2-channel enthusiast would not just accept, but truly love."

"Many of our dealers work with extremely discerning customers who not only enjoy great sounding music throughout the home and theater, but also still revel in uniquely wonderful sound for that special room they spend a great deal of time in. And yes, they also now have most of their music shoved onto an iPod," notes, Albert Langella, ADA's CEO and Chief Design Engineer. "I combined the design elements from our already superior sounding iBase with the thermionic vacuum tube technology developed for our $100,000 Cinema Renaissance into an incredible sounding two-channel preamplifier."

TPA-1 Thermionic Pre-amplifier
The TPA-1 Thermionic (Tube) pre-amplifier features two vacuum tube preamplifier stages. The first is a thermionic line-amplifier for the iPod docking system. "Frankly, I asked Albert to include a momentary defeat button on the iPod tube stage so that you could press the button to hear what a regular iPod sounds like. Naturally it had to be momentary because after hearing what Albert's thermionic line amplifier does, who would want to ever listen to their iPod with it bypassed!" chimed Stoerger. "For those who believe an iPod could never sound amazing, get ready for a big surprise."

The TPA-1 has many other features including a second thermionic preamplifier stage coupled to an all-tube based equalizer that permits adjustment of bass, midrange and treble in an addition active loudness contour filter on/off. While the tone levels are fixed and set, volume can be adjusted on the front of the TPA-1 or via IR remote control. Langella employed stepping relays for volume adjustment. This all-relay design is also used for the input switcher that can select via IR or front panel, three other inputs in addition to the docked iPod. There are both pre-amplified and fixed line-level audio outputs.

The TPA-1 incorporates a 20 second warm-up timer for optimal performance while the vacuum tubes begin charging. The unit also features an ADA Bus bi-directional data port that permits it to be integrated into a comprehensive multi-room ADA music system. It also features both a low-voltage trigger output and 10 amp switched AC outlet for turning the power amplifier on and off with the preamplifier.

PF-2150 Amplifier
ADA's new PF-2150 Two-Channel High-Current Power FET (Field Effect Transistor) Amplifier mates perfectly with the TPA-1. Featuring two channels from ADA's fabled PTM-6150 home cinema amplifier that has been delighting enthusiasts for over a decade, the PF-2150 is completely fan-less, relying on two massive all-aluminum heat sinks to do the heavy lifting of removing heat generated by the dozen MOSFET output transistors that create over 150 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms - 250 Watts per Channel at 4 Ohms.

Like the TPA-1, the PF-2150 features gold-plated RCA jacks and five-way binding posts. Also included is a low voltage turn-on trigger input that connects to the TPA-1. The PF-2150 features LED level meters which can be turned off if so desired. Langella notes "The beauty behind this Class A-A/B amplifier design is that the first 50 Watts of power per channel is pure Class A power making it possible to drive even the most demanding speaker pair."

"Both the TPA-1 and the PF-2150 are nickel plated and look stunning," says Stoerger. They can also be rack mounted or are available with rubber footings.

Χτες εμαθα οτι η ada καταργει τον βραβευμενο (2009 CES Design & Engineering Innovations Award) λαμπατο ενισχυτη TPA-1. Μερικες φορες τα βραβεια δεν ειναι αρκετα....
Απ οτι φαινεται θα παρει μαζι του και τον τελικο PF-2150.

Κριμα γιατι ηταν ενας ενισχυτης που εντυπωσιασε με τον ηχο του και ειχε ανταποκριση στην Ελλαδα.
