BenQ Announces Two New LCD TV Lines

BenQ V and P Line Products Offers Wide Range of Design Savvy, High-Performance Products with Senseye Technology

HANNOVER, GERMANY, 9 March, 2006 – BenQ today announces the addition of two new LCD TV series; V (VL, VA) and P Series, providing consumers with a wide range of high performance design savvy LCD TVs for all lifestyles.

V Series – VA
The V Series –VA Line is the perfect replacement for current users of CRT televisions. Featuring WXGA 1366 x 768 high resolution and an HDMI interface, the elegant yet simply designed VA series consists of four models - 26-inch VA261, 32-inch VA321, 37-inch VA371 and 42-inch VA421. All models feature HDTV compatibility (1080i, 720p), 1000:1 contrast ratios and an 8-millisecond response time.

V Series - VL
BenQ’s V Series – VL Line of high-performance LCD TVs feature four models – the 26-inch VL2633, 32-inch VL3233, 37-inch VL3733, and 42-inch VL4233. Aimed at consumers looking for high-specifications with affordability, the VL line sets itself apart with an attractive exterior and high-performance features including HDTV compatibility (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p) and “human care” functionality.

The VL series is defined by its “human care” features. VL series LCD TV's come built-in with an intelligent ambient light sensor which auto-adjusts the backlight providing more comfortable viewing and energy savings. Additionally, a “soft mute” feature allows the TV to return to its pre-muted volume gradually without jarring.

Virtual Dolby Surround Pro Logic II sound is built in to enhance home cinema watching pleasure and can be found built in on the VL2633, VL3233, VL3733 and VL4233 models.

P Series – PL Line yields premium performance
BenQ's kicks off its P Series – PL Line of premium high-performance LCD TVs with a new 42-inch model, the PL4271. Providing consumers with both premium visual and aural enjoyment, the PL4271 features outstanding picture, elegantly designed side panels and a superior sound system.

The PL4271 is HDTV compatible (720p, 1080i, 1080p) and features full HD 1920 x 1080 high resolution. The PL4271 also provides a superior sound system via D2Audio's intelligent digital amplifier that performs sound optimization and correction on the audio signals that it produces, resulting high quality, reliable, repeatable performance, equivalent to top analog amplifiers. D2Audio provides WideSound spatialization as well as deep bass sound.

Senseye Technology
BenQ's VL and PL lines feature BenQ's proprietary Senseye Technology which features dynamic contrast enhancement, “true to the human eye” color enhancement, and YUV Domain Engine for rich color performance. Senseye also enhances clarity and optimizes motion which significantly improves viewing of graphics-intensive applications such as gaming, entertainment and professional multimedia presentations.
