Φθινόπωρο, 1989. Στη μικρή πόλη του Ντέρι, τα ντόπια παιδιά εξαφανίζονται το ένα μετά το άλλο, αφήνοντας πίσω κομμένα μέλη του σώματος τους. Σε ένα μέρος που είναι γνωστό ως «ερημιές», μια ομάδα επτά παιδιών ενώνονται μέσω της τρομακτικής και παράξενης επαφής τους με έναν κλόουν, τον Πένιγουαϊζ. Την ομάδα ενώνει ο Μπιλ Ντένμπορο που έχει προσωπική βεντέτα με τον κλόουν, αφού το πρώτο θύμα ήταν ο μικρός του αδελφός. Τα χρόνια περνούν και 27 έτη μετά την τελευταία εμφάνιση του Πένιγουαϊζ, η ομάδα ανασυγκροτείται, αφήνοντας πίσω τους τις επιτυχημένες δουλειές τους, επειδή Αυτό έχει επιστρέψει και παιδιά αρχίζουν πάλι να εξαφανίζονται. Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι όλοι έχουν ξεχάσει το τι συνέβη τότε και είναι στο χέρι της ομάδας να ανανεώσει τις μνήμες τους, να βρει τον τρόπο που μπορεί να σκοτώνεται ο κλόουν και να μείνουν ζωντανοί ως το τέλος.

Bill Skarsgard is Pennywise in Stephen King’s IT Part One

New Line‘s two-part remake of Stephen King’s IT looks to be finally gaining momentum again as The Hollywood Reporter brings word that 25-year-old Swedish actor Bill Skarsgard (“Hemlock Grove,” The Divergent Series: Allegiant) has been cast as central villain Pennywise. The young protagonists have also been cast, including Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales of Halloween), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (“Hawaii Five-0”) and Jeremy Ray Taylor (42).

First look at the new Pennywise from Stephen King’s IT

As production chugs along on Stephen King’s IT, EW has revealed the first official look at Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Dancing Clown! Check it out below!

“It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane,” Skarsgård tells the outlet. “It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates…It truly enjoys the shape of the clown Pennywise, and enjoys the game and the hunt. What’s funny to this evil entity might not be funny to everyone else. But he thinks it’s funny.”

EW also reports that the events of the film will be moved upward from the source material, which was set in both the 1950s and 1980s, and will be set in the present day with the late 1980s as the past setting.
