How we did it
This year's awards process began in mid-September, when editor John Atkinson asked my colleagues and me for nominations in seven categories: Loudspeaker of the Year, Amplification Product of the Year, Analog Component of the Year, Digital Component of the Year, Headphone Product of the Year, Accessory of the Year, and Budget Product of the Year. The candidates were limited to products evaluated in our November 2017 through October 2018 issues, whether in a full Equipment Report or Follow-Up, or a column by me or my colleagues Michael Fremer, Herb Reichert, and Kalman Rubinson. We did not consider products that took top honors in any previous year's PotY celebration.

The next step was when JA compiled and distributed a list of every component that had been nominated by at least three Stereophilecontributors, the idea being to ensure that every one of those finalist products had been heard by as many of our reviewers as possible. Then each Stereophile contributor's job was to cast three votes in each of the categories: to give three points to his first choice, two points to his second choice, and one point to his third. In this way, the results reveal a certain density of information: Surely there are distinctions between a product that receives three first-place votes and the one that receives nine third-place votes.

After the votes were in, JA asked us to vote one more time—for the Overall Product of the Year.

The final step: John Atkinson asked me to compose this essay, and allowed me to tart it up with a few puerile jokes (though he asked me to change "obese, intellectually dishonest, chronic masturbators" to "whiners," which I willingly did). Indeed, it is JA who tallies the votes, so it is JA to whom noncomplacent firebrands should send notes of praise and blame. (See JA's comments on the voting process here.)

Ο αγώνας τώρα δικαιώνεται Harbeth Monitor 30.2 40th Anniversary Edition

Listening to Guo Ya-zhi and his small orchestra on their Sorrow of the River (CD, M•A Recordings M074A), I noticed how enormous and powerful the large drum sounded. My mind's eye noted the color of its skin and measured its diameter. I heard the drum's energy emanating in waves that exposed the volume of the recording venue. I perceived the flow and force of air moving through the suona (a Chinese double-reeded horn), and the speech-like utterances of the guzheng (a Chinese zither). I was pleased by how explicitly each instrument was described. Ya-zhi's music made me happy—only his notes were sorrowful.

"I also believe that Harbeth's Monitor 30.2 is the most neutral, accurate, tuneful, fun, and music-loving stand-mounted two-way speaker I've heard."

4000 περίπου στην ευρώπη. Συμφωνώ, υπερτιμημένα, αλλά πολύ ευχάριστο ηχείο.

Το έβαλα για να σχολιάσεις κυρίως τις 2 καμπούρες στην απόκριση. Ούτε καμήλα να ήταν Οι οποίες καμπούρες εμφανίζονται και σε άλλα ηχεία (δεν τα είδα όλα). Υποτίθεται ότι η μέτρηση είναι ανηχοϊκή. Το υπόλοιπο στη μέτρηση είναι excellent engineering;

Επίσης, αν μπορείς σχολίασε γιατί στο χώρο του περιοδικού το ηχείο γράφουν ότι κατεβαίνει στους 25 κύκλους (κάπως) ενώ η εταιρεία δίνει υποηχητικές επιδόσεις.

Δηλαδή το μικρόφωνο καταργείται αν στο επιταγχυνσιόμετρο δεν "ακούγεται" (φαίνεται);

Το υπόλοιπο φάσμα πως σου φαίνεται;

Ο κατασκευαστής κάτι λέει για SET ή κατάλαβα λάθος;;;

This was a specific design goal, as we wanted the References to be able to be well-driven and enjoyed, paired with a wide variety of amplifiers. I myself am something of a SET fan, and certainly wanted to be able to indulge in my favorite SET amps with T Ref.

Οι μετρήσεις του τύπου 30-20000Hz, +-3dB δεν λαμβάνονται υπόψιν. Πρέπει να δούμε περισσότερα στοιχεία. Τα εξηγεί ο Toole στην Βίβλο διεξοδικά.

Το υπόλοιπο φάσμα πως σου φαίνεται;

Μια χαρά.

Ο κατασκευαστής κάτι λέει για SET ή κατάλαβα λάθος;;;

Ο παππούς ακούει με λάμπα....αλλά έχει και μερικά κιλοβάτ ενσωματωμένα στο μπάσο του ηχείου για σιγουριά, μην γίνει καμιά μλκία. Και έτσι πουλάει σε μεγαλύτερο κομμάτι της αγοράς, με ασφάλεια για το αποτέλεσμα, αφού ο classD με DSP που εχει στο μπάσο ενσωματωμένο στο ηχείο το εξασφαλίζει κατά πολύ.

To stereophile είναι αξιοπρεπές, τουλάχιστον οσον αφορά την προσπάθεια μετρήσεων του JA.
Για τον Μιχαλάκη, όχι, δεν λαμβάνω υπόψιν τα recommendations του, και κρατάω επιφυλάξεις για τις κρίσεις και κάποιων άλλων εκεί μέσα.

Και εφόσον υπάρχει μέτρηση απο το NRC όλα τα άλλα (μετρήσεις περιοδικών) δεν έχουν σημασία, τα αγνοούμε. NRC .
