In total, nine new AVRs were introduced, ranging in price from $349 to $1,999. Its upscale AVR-990, AVR-3310CI and AVR-4310CI receivers will all stream music from networked PCs and Internet radio stations. The models can also be firmware updated online.
Dolby Pro Logic IIz will ship in all models, from the entry-level AVR-590 upwards. Audyssey DSX technology debuts in the high-end AVR-4310CI.
As with Pro Logic IIz, Audyssey DSX can be configured for either a pair of horizontal-plane front speakers to expand the width of the L/C/R soundstage or a pair of front-height channels - but you can’t have both together. Denon says that trick will be available on an as yet unannounced 9.1 model due later this year. We can't wait...
In the UK, the brand has confirmed the release of four models, the £349 AVR-1610, the £479 AVR-1910, and the 7.1 £849 AVR-2310. The latter two have been specifically tuned for the UK market. All three support Dolby Pro Logic IIz, and ship into UK stores in June
