Και ποιος μας λέει δηλαδή ότι οι τίτλοι που θα σπρώξει η sony με την τηλεόραση της δεν είναι σε H.265 codec;
Δεν είναι καινούριο νέο αυτό.

Απομονώνω κι αυτή την παράγραφο απο το άρθρο για τις φοβερές 4k κάμερες της sony:

As a footnote, the only way to record 4K to the F5 is with the AXS-R5 recorder. In the F55 you can record Quad HD (3840×2160) or 4K (4096x 2160) in camera but it will be 4:2:2 and compressed not RAW. This can be recorded to a format called XAFC which has been proposed as a 4K “standard” which we are yet to see in the industry. The XAFC will be recorded onto a new SxS Pro+ card (recording at up to 1.3 Gb/s); these new cards offer you the ability to record material at much higher data rates than the previous SxS cards. A 64GB SxS Pro+ card will get you about 20 minutes recording time if you are shooting at 4K while 2K recording will give you around 60 minutes. There is also a SR codec that will be a future upgrade that will allow 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, 10 bit recording at 220, 440 and 880Mb/s. As far as frame rates go, the F55 will be able to record up to 240fps in 2K to the optional recorder. It will currently do up to 60fps to the SxS Pro + cards but only in HD. It will however be able to do 180fps to the SxS cards with a planned upgrade. The F5 is limited to 120fps in 2K and currently it has to be recorded to the optional AXS-R5 recorder. It cannot record it internally. A planned firmware upgrade will allow the F5 to shoot it on board to SxS Pro+ cards at 120fps in 2K. The high frame rates are all available with no cropping of the sensor. Sony has also promised future firmware updates that will increase frame rates.

...όλοι εμείς!! Γιατί από τον υγιή ανταγωνισμό εμείς κερδίζουμε. Τόσο από τη βελτίωση των προϊόντων, όσο και από τη γρηγορότερη πτώση των τιμών.

Δυστυχώς δεν κατάλαβες ότι δεν είμαστε υποστηρικτές κανενός. Και, ναι, έχεις δίκιο για τα οικονομικά προβλήματα της sony. Απόλυτο δίκιο. Σε χαροποιεί? Εμένα όχι. Η έλλειψη ανταγωνισμού μόνο κακό θα κάνει σε όλους όσους δεν συνδεόμαστε με τον ένα ή τον άλλο τρόπο με οποιοδήποτε "στρατόπεδο".

Ο χαρακτηρισμός όμως ως "junk" (σκουπίδια) στην Ιαπωνία, αναφέρεται σε πράγματα ή καταστάσεις που είναι (το λιγότερο) για πέταμα. Οι Ιάπωνες έχουν αυτήν τη λογική..
Και αναλογίζομαι μέσα μου... "Γιατί οι ίδιοι κάνουν τόσο αρνητική κριτική"?

Είναι κρίμα να μην υπάρχει ανταγωνισμός.
Έχουμε φτάσει σε σημείο να παρακαλάμε να ξαναγυρίσουν στο γήπεδο οι Ιάπωνες και να αρχίσουν το παιχνίδι, καθώς η κατάσταση έχει καταντήσει ολίγον γράντ γκινιόλ!

Καλό είναι που οι Κορεάτες, Κινέζοι, Ταϊβανέζοι και τώρα οι Ινδοί μπήκαν δυναμικά. Αυτό βοηθάει εξαιρετικά να υπάρχει μια συμπίεση του κόστους προς τα κάτω, νέες τεχνολογίες και ανταγωνισμός.

Ομως ...οι Ιάπωνες τι δουλειά είχαν να αποσυρθούν και να αφήσουν τους άλλους να χορεύουν μόνοι τους?
Και δεν έφτασαν μόνο μέχρι εκεί... θεωρούνται τώρα και "junk"!:111:

Los Angeles – Sony Electronics formally took “4K Ultra High Definition” to the next level Thursday by introducing the first 4K playback device supporting its newly released 84-inch LCD TV.

The new 4K Ultra HD Video Player is a hard-disk server that connects easily to Sony’s matching XBR-84X900 84-inch LED LCD TV, allowing consumers to view 4K resolution movies and short-form 4K videos.

The server and 84-inch 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV sets were scheduled to be officially unveiled and demonstrated at an invitation-only event with Sony recording artist John Legend here tonight.

Sony said it is making the device available as a bonus “loaned” – as the company put it - exclusively to U.S. customers purchasing the Sony 4K LED TV. The hard-disk server, which has been used for in-store demos of the company’s flagship 4K Ultra HD TV screen, comes loaded with content, including both full-length Hollywood features and a gallery of videos, creating the first true home 4K experience, Sony said.

Currently, the device is the only method consumers can use to play natively produced 4K Ultra HD content on the new high-resolution displays.

As a stand-alone unit, the Sony XBR-84X900 TV up-scales all video inputs, including the more than 7,000 Blu-ray Disc titles currently in distribution, to what Sony said is “a near-4K resolution” through the use of Sony’s proprietary 4K X-Reality PRO three-chip picture engine.
