Wisdom Audio's newest line of biamplified planar magnetic hybrid
speakers don't follow the norm when it comes to shape and size. The
Sage Series' thin film drivers allow minimalist enclosure designs
because they are free from having to reproduce the low-end that is
handled by Wisdom's high operating pressure woofers. The Sage
Series consists of five different models and each is available as
an in-wall, on-wall or freestanding loudspeaker. The speakers can
be as short as 20" or as tall as 95" depending on the model.

Wisdom Audio provides a refreshing update to the planar magnetic
technology by utilizing neodymium magnets rather than the more
common and less powerful ferrite magnets. That means higher
sensitivity and in turn, you don't need monster amplifiers to power
them.

The Sage loudspeakers are handled by the SC-1 System
Controller. The SC-1 provides active electronic crossovers and
Audyssey's MultEQ XT audio correction for total control.
Amplification is provided by multi-channel high-output ICEPower
amplifiers.

The Sage Series loudspeakers start at $2,250 and go up to $8,000
for the larger models. Amplifiers start at $3,500 and the SC-1 will
run you $6,000. The full Wisdom Audio Sage Series is expected to be
available at the end of April.
