Automatic Installation
Option 1 (for Windows users only):
Assuming your Boxee's hostname is "boxeebox" and telnet password is "secret" (defaults), try the fully automatic installer at: http://192.227.134.64/~xbmc/install_xbmc.exe
Option 2:
Telnet into your Boxee (default port 2323), and run the following command (copying and pasting works great): Code:
wget -O /tmp/installer.sh http://192.227.134.64/~xbmc/installer.sh && sh /tmp/installer.sh

Add Kodi support
With XBMC being rebranded to Kodi, some changes were necessary to be able to boot to it properly. You can now install kodi the same as xbmc, whether its in the root of your USB, in an xbmc directory, or a kodi directory.
Move to an init.d launcher structure
Before, we had a boot.sh that you would edit to launch or reorder the current scripts. You shouldn't have to edit this file ever again (its discouraged actually, since a lot of people have messed up their boot.sh by editting it from Windows which will put invalid line endings). Now you have /data/hack/init.d/ Any file ending with .sh that you drop in there will be executed on boot up. They are ran in numberical/alphabetical order, so you can change the order of any running script by adjusting its name. There is now a 10mount.sh you can modify to mount your XBMC install from NFS (with a quick example).
Clear extra files from /download on boot
Recently we have had a lot of people that have had issues with their /download filling up and causing crashes on reflashing. We will now clear /download of any directory / file on every boot up. The only thing we exclude is the xbmc folder used by the internal installer or any symlink.
Reorganize folder structure a bit
With the move to a init.d startup scripts, we have cleaned up the hacks folder and moved multiple things in the misc or other folders. A script will run and remove any extras that exist during upgrade, and will then remove itself.
Add Dropbear for SSH access
Thanks to orizzle scripts, we have now added SSH support via Dropbear. The password should be the same as your telnet password or "secret" if you didn't have one.
Changelog: kodi14_final.boxeebox.1.9_f0aa4c5
-Pvr addons: update to latest master 89ba5bb
-KODI: updated to kodi14 final
-Boxee Intel_SMD specific changes by quarnster:
Experimental elastic video codec buffer batching.
This allows queueing up buffers to ~75% of total queue possible, and
should be much better at feeding the hardware pipe with data at a
rate close to what it is capable of processing.
In other words: if it detects it's feeding the hw too slow it'll try
to feed it more data and if it detects it's feeding it too fast it'll
start feeding it data at a slower rate.
