Confirmed: Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk Crossover Scene!

It's been rumored (and supposedly confirmed) for months now - Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk will each have crossover scenes, as in, each character will show up in each other's movies (somehow). Now today live from the New York Comic Con we have confirmation. After an impressive presentation for The Incredible Hulk, director Louis Leterrier and star Tim Roth presented the final trailer that will debut online in the next few weeks. And as a special treat, at the very end, we got to see the scene where Tony Stark shows up in a bar and talks with General Ross.

Astronauts and mutants in the upcoming Sci-fi Movie DUST

"Nick Anderson is an astronaut living aboard the International Space Station. He's estranged from his wife, and obsessed with his work. Nick is notified by NASA that six meteors from deep space are headed directly towards Earth. They are too large to burn up in the atmosphere, but not large enough to present any major concerns. Days later, the meteors land on earth. Before the meteors can be examined, they begin to unleash heavier-than-air dust-like spores. When inhaled, the spores act like a virus and quickly mutate any animal or human into monstrous alien creatures.

This is the aliens’ way of spreading throughout the galaxy. In a matter of weeks the dust spreads across the earth, reducing civilization to anarchy and a new dark age. As the “dust level” rises higher and higher, the few remaining uninfected survivors take sanctuary on mountaintops and the upper floors of the world’s tallest skyscrapers - but time is running out. The dust is changing the earth’s atmosphere into a habitable environment suitable only to the mutants that now roam the dust-covered surface.

After months without contact, Nick and one other astronaut decide to return to earth to investigate. Landing on the surface, they find a pitch-black world of desolation that hardly resembles the Earth they once knew. Almost immediately, they are attacked by the mutants.

Just as Nick is about to be overwhelmed by the creatures, he is saved by a group of survivors wearing makeshift airtight battle-suits. Nick is air-lifted out of the dust and taken to the top of the Sears Tower where he is introduced to a group of military personnel and survivors who have banded together to stop the aliens.

The resistance has established their base of operations on the top twenty-three floors of the Sears Tower in Chicago. From here Nick and the team devise a plan to reclaim the Earth. They must inject the dust-spewing meteors with an anti-virus that will reform the Earth’s atmosphere. Using a V-22 Osprey aircraft they go on desperate missions, dropping into the dust, fighting against time and hordes of mutants to save humanity and reclaim the Earth."

SPLICE του Vincenzo Natali

Ο Καναδός σκηνοθέτης των CUBE και NOTHING, Vincenzo Natali, επανέρχεται επιτέλους πίσω από τις κάμερες με το SPLICE, μια ταινία τρόμου τα γυρίσματα της οποίας ξεκινούν στα τέλη Φεβρουαρίου στο Τορόντο του Καναδά. Το site Bloody-Disgusting.com δημοσίευσε πληροφορίες σχετικά με τους πρωταγωνιστές και έτσι στους ήδη γνωστούς Adrien Brody και Sarah Polley θα προστεθούν οι Delphine Chaneac, ο τακτικός του Natali David Hewlett (CUBE, NOTHING) και ο Brandon McGibbon.

Η ταινία ασχολείται με δυο νεαρούς επιστήμονες που αψηφούν τα ηθικά και νομικά διλήμματα και πειραματίζονται με την ένωση ανθρώπινου και ζωικού DNA με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός νέου οργανισμού. Αυτό έχει σαν αποτέλεσμα τη μεταμόρφωση του πειραματόζωου από όμορφη γυναίκα σε φτερωτή χίμαιρα που αναπτύσσει έναν θανατηφόρο δεσμό με τους δημιουργούς της.

το zero είναι presequel ... Δομικά η ιστορία πάει zero - 1 - 2 - 3 με το 3 να τελειώνει την όλη φάση και φυσικά να λέει ΓΙΑΤΙ έγινε όλη αυτή η φάση !

Lost Boys 2 : The Tribe (2008)

Το αναμενομενο sequel της ταινιας lost boys δεν θα το δουμε τελικα στις σκοτεινες αιθουσες αφου η warner αποφασισε να κυκλοφορησει την ταινια σε dvd και οχι στους κινηματογραφους. Το dvd θα κανει πρεμιερα στην Αμερικη την 1η ΙΟΥΝΙΟΥ 2008.

Τα σχέδια της MGM για sequel του Stargate!

Μετά από 12 χρόνια, η MGM εξετάζει το ενδεχόμενο να γυρίσει sequel της ταινίας Stargate.

Ο Brad Wright παραγωγός της σειράς Stargate και Stargate: Atlantis δεν είναι σίγουρος για την πιθανότητα ανάμειξης του στο επερχόμενο sequel, όπως και αμφιβάλει για την επιστροφή του Kurt Russel.

Ωστόσο ο ίδιος είναι σίγουρος πως πέρα από μια νέα ταινία θα υπάρξει και μια νέα σειρά, αφού πιστεύει οτι το Stargate αποτέλει ένα έξαιρετο μέσο εξιστόρησης και προσφέρεται για τη δημιουργία νέων χαρακτήρων, κάτι που υποδηλώνει οτι το franchise έχει πολλά να δώσει ακόμα.

It's Official - Guillermo del Toro Directing The Hobbit!

Variety confirms the announcement today from executive producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, New Line president Toby Emmerich, and MGM president Mary Parent.

Guillermo will move to New Zealand for the next four years to work with Jackson and WETA in order to produce the new two Hobbit films back-to-back - which will be released in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

This is definitely a glorious day in the world of Middle Earth! Production is now moving forward and all contracts have been signed to finally start work on The Hobbit. Warner Brothers will be distributing the film in the US and MGM will be distributing it internationally.

As was announced previously, the first film will be an adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's entire book, and the second will be a newly imagined story focusing on the 60-year period between The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

The Mutant Chronicles ( 2008 )

This sci-fi action film has quite the line-up: Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, John Malkovich, and Devon Aoki. Directed by British-born Simon Hunter and written by Philip Eisner (Event Horizon) and Ross Jameson (White Bits), The Mutant Chronicles is one of those pre-summer flicks that seems like a mash-up of The Chronicles of Riddick, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Blade Runner. The Mutant Chronicles is based off of a table-top role-playing game originally titled Mutant (and later Mutant Chronicles) developed by Target Games first in 1984 and again in 1993.

The movie has been described as "a futuristic Saving Private Ryan set in a world where nearly everything is powered by steam." Here's the official synopsis and it doesn't really help its cause.

In the 23rd Century, Earth has been ravaged by mega corporations controlling the planet and mankind is threatened with extinction by a marauding army of NecroMutants.

The Chronicles of an ancient Brotherhood foresee a savior, but their hopes are left to a crack squad of mercenaries led by the battle-weary Major Mitch Hunter.

The Mutant Chronicles is currently set to be released in 2008.

Resurrection Happening at Universal

Universal has optioned Resurrection, an Oni Press comic book series written by "Eli Stone" co-creator Marc Guggenheim, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal-based Scott Stuber is producing the project along with Eric Gitter of Closed on Mondays Entertainment, the producing arm of Oni Press.

Resurrection begins where most other alien invasion movies end, centering on a group of survivors trying to take back control of the planet after an apocalyptic invasion.

Emilie de Ravin Has Public Enemies

"Lost" star Emilie De Ravin has been cast in a supporting role in Michael Mann's Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.

An adaptation of Brian Burrough's book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43," the film centers on the government's attempt to stop John Dillinger and his gang.

Depp is playing Dillinger to Bale's famed FBI agent Melvin Purvis.

Land of the Lost (2009)

USA Today has revealed this first look at the Sleestaks in Universal Pictures' Land of the Lost, coming to theaters on July 17, 2009 and starring Will Ferrell, Anna Friel and Danny R. McBride.

Directed by Brad Silberling (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events), the adventure comedy is based on the 1974-77 TV series of the same name.

The movie revolves around a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks.

Η νέα ταινία των αδελφών Κοέν με τίτλο Burn After Reading με πρωταγωνιστές τους Μπραντ Πιτ και Τζορτζ Κλούνι πρόκειται να ανοίξει την αυλαία του 65ου Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Βενετίας. Η Μόστρα ξεκινά στις 27 Αυγούστου.

Θέμα της ταινίας είναι οι περιπέτειες ενός πράκτορα της CIA, του οποίου τα απομνημονεύματα πέφτουν στα χέρια δύο εργαζομένων σε γυμναστήριο.

Η ταινία αποτελεί την πρώτη δουλειά των αδελφών Κοέν μετά τον θρίαμβο του Καμιά πατρίδα για τους μελλοθάνατους στα Όσκαρ.

Πρόκειται για την 13η ταινία των τρομερών παιδιών του αμερικανικού σινεμά και αναμένεται να βγει στις αίθουσες τον Σεπτέμβριο. Ήδη οι πρώτες φήμες για ενδεχόμενη οσκαρική πορεία της ταινίας έχουν κυκλοφορήσει και ενισχύονται από την απόφαση να προβληθεί η ταινία στη Μόστρα.

Το πλήρες πρόγραμμα του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Βενετίας -το οποίο θα διαρκέσει από 27 Αυγούστου έως 6 Σεπτεμβρίου- θα ανακοινωθεί τον Ιούλιο.

Ο Art Williams ήταν ένας παραχαράκτης στο Σικάγο ο οποίο τύπωνε πλαστά χαρτονομίσματα των 100 δολλαρίων και μάλιστα συνέχισε να το κάνει και μετά που τον συνέλαβε το FBI. Την χρονιά που μας πέρασε καταδικάστηκε σε επταετή κάθειρξη σε ομοσπονδιακή φυλακή. Η ταινία θα βασίζεται στο προφίλ που έκανε στον Williams, ο Jason Kersten το 2005 στο Rolling Stone, ενώ δημοσιογράφος και παραχαράκτης έχουν ήδη συμβόλαιο προκειμένου να συγγράψουν βιβλίο σχετικό με την πολυτάραχη ζωή του παραχαράκτη.
