H Tesla ετοιμάζει μπαταρία NMC πολύ ανθεκτικότερη της σημερινής. Το battery degradation έχει μειωθεί τόσο πολύ που η προτεινόμενη καθημερινή φόρτιση θα είναι στο 90% (αντί του σημερινού 80%), μειώνοντας στο μισό την απόσταση από την ευκολία χρήσης μιας LFP.

Όσο για το degradation, στα χιλιόμετρα ή στα χρόνια που η παλιά NMC θα είχε ένα capacity -20%, με τα ίδια δεδομένα η νέα NMC θα έχει -5%.

Η νέα NMC θα έχει τετραπλάσια διάρκεια ζωής από την σημερινή, ενώ θα διαθέτει ένα "user experience" πιο κοντά στην LFP.
